Brief overview of the role
A fantastic opportunity to join a successful precision engineering company with a proven history of continued and sustainable growth along with continuous investment in people and industry leading technology while continuing the legacy of our previous apprentice success stories, developing, and honing a wide range of practical and life skills. As an Apprentice in mechanical engineering, you will learn a wide range of metal working skills and techniques including programming, setting, and running of turning and milling machines from our experienced team of engineers using a wide range of manual and CNC (computer numerically controlled) machinery. This is supported further by local colleges for day release activities, whilst gaining internationally recognised qualifications.

For the right candidate prospects are excellent. Metaltech are keen to progress and develop their apprentices. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship there may be the opportunity of a permanent position.

Description
We offer a range of high-precision machining and fabrication facilities rarely matched in the sub-contract industry. Implementing lean manufacturing techniques and shop floor data collection, we are able to remain at the forefront of sub-contract manufacturing. With over 50 CNC machines and 70 staff, we can offer a diversity of supply from sliding head turning to a fully welded fabrication. Specialising in exotic materials such as Hastelloy, Inconel, Monel, Titanium and Duplex. We can source additional services such as, EDM wire eroding, laser cutting, presswork, gear cutting and plating through our approved suppliers.
